A story exploring the Chinese legal system follows a man who is determined to uncover the mystery behind his parents' deaths.
Orphaned and homeless after the death of his parents, a young Tang Ji Bai gets adopted by Dong Fang Huo. Years later, Tang Ji Bai grows up to be a successful legal professor while Dong Fang Zhi has become an ace lawyer.
Tang Ji Bai becomes embroiled in a case that lands him in prison. Even though he acts uncharacteristically towards her, Dong Fang Zhi is determined to help Ji Bai clear his name.
